environment that meets the need of children with and without disabilities.
Teachers have the responsibilities
to help meet the needs of all children through play. The teachers’ role for
fostering children’s play includes
setting up the environment and
interacting in ways that enhance the play. Children learn through play and play
is a child’s work. Children learn as they play in various learning centers
around the classroom and outdoors.

welcome all family members and encourage them to participate in the program.
It is important that early childhood
professionals build on the importance of family to children. Parents are vital
to the young child’s development, so finding areas of common ground and agreement
between parents and education is important.

We
shall continually be aware of issues challenging the field of early childhood
special education and advocate for changes in laws, regulations, and policies
leading to improved outcomes and services for young children with disabilities
and their families.
Children with disabilities should
not be excluded from getting a high quality education. It is critical to
providing the most effective services for young children with disabilities and
their families. Professional acquire the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to
work with a variety of young children with disabilities and their families
within natural and inclusive environments promoting children’s overall growth,
development and learning, and enhancing family quality of life.
Children with learning disabilities are found in almost every classroom; they have no discernable disability condition but nevertheless are having problems with one or more basic skills or learning. Such as, poor memory skills, difficulty inn following directions, or trouble discriminating between letters, numbers, and sounds.

ReplyDeleteDeidre, as I came to the beginning of Week 8 of this Early Childhood class, I found out there was more than myself that wants to become a more professional teacher. You have gave me knowledge and hope for the future and I promise I will continue to move forward and become what I always dream of becoming…..a TEACHER.
